About Us
We are an academic research group based in the Department of Biology, University of Oxford. Our work addresses the challenges that humanity faces in halting the decline of global biodiversity.
We work at the interface of social and ecological systems, using a range of methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches to address key issues in current conservation.

Research Themes
All of the research carried out by the group can be classified under the following broad and diverse themes.
Projects
From conserving the incredible saiga antelope, to embedding the contributions of Indigenous people and local communities (IPLCs) in conservation, to developing global biodiversity monitoring frameworks, ICCS researchers cover a huge range of approaches to biodiversity conservation. Here are some of our current projects.
